Working as a VW and Audi tech the question about the steering column is an automatic replacement.due to the airbags deployment,the steering columns in these vehicles have a plastic key that is holding a dovetail joint together.when the airbag deploys it shears this key requiring the upper part of the steering column to be replaced.This is the one reason I detest these type of questions on these tests,no accounting is taken into what a particular line of cars a tech has worked with.maybe GM or Ford and Chryco do not use this system ,I have no idea weather they do or not,just something for you to consider,thanks,Bruce Caron
